Mads Mikkelsen

 Mads Mikkelsen was born on November 22, 1965, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Growing up in a creative environment, he was initially drawn to the world of performing arts through dance. Mikkelsen trained as a gymnast before transitioning to ballet, studying at the Royal Danish Ballet. This background in movement and physicality would later influence his acting style.


He made his film debut in the late 1990s with "Pusher," a gritty crime drama directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, which showcased his talent and earned him recognition in the Danish film industry. Mikkelsen quickly gained acclaim for his roles in films like "The Hunt," which earned him the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012.


His international breakthrough came with his portrayal of the villain Le Chiffre in the James Bond film "Casino Royale" (2006). This role marked Mikkelsen as a formidable presence in Hollywood. He further solidified his status with performances in "Hannibal," "Doctor Strange," and "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore."
